Winterfest

Winterfest, a long-standing ASIJ tradition, is the school’s largest annual community gathering for both ASIJ families as well as the local Chofu community. Held on a Saturday in early December, this event has celebrated our community, the holiday season and the fine arts programs at ASIJ for more than four decades.

Participants typically enjoy foods from around the globe, incredible performances from students and faculty, games and entertainment for kids, a wide variety of gifts for sale at an international bazaar, and Japanese cultural experiences such as a kimono wearing opportunity and tea ceremony. In past years, the Chofu campus has welcomed 3,000 to 4,000 attendees at this event, which is only made possible by the work of parent volunteers.
